Below are links to various websites that provide at home learning programs supporting the goals and mission of DSBIA and the California State Parks.  These sites are not meant to replace the lessons being provided by your children’s schools and teachers, but to offer enrichment of subjects or to provide information in a subject of personal interest for children and adults.

CALIFORNIA STATE PARKS “PORTS” HOME LEARNING
Free kindergarten through 12 grade lessons about our precious natural resources and cultural heritage. You must register for each program or, click on “Previous Broadcasts” for programs to which you do not need to register.

PARENT WITH CHILD GAMES: The below games are designed for parents to use for teaching to and playing with their children. Teach them meanings to key words (mammal, nourish, indicator, etc.) concepts (life cycle of flowering plants and relationship to animals that rely on them) and how to use your computers Internet search engine.
OLE DOHENY TRAIL: Identify things found on a walk up dried up parts of the San Juan Creek bed. Are they natural, litter or something else?
WILD FLOWER INTERNET SEARCH:Identify some wildflowers by using your Internet search engine and key words from clues.
DOHENY MAP READING SKILLS: Practice your map reading skills by using a Doheny map to answer questions.
