Junior Rangers is an interpretive activity that is designed for children, 7 to 12, to actively learn about some of the natural wonders that can be found throughout the California State Parks. Doheny State Beach offers Junior Rangers during the summer months. We meet Mondays-Thursdays at the Campfire Center from 10:00 – 11:00 am (some days extend to 11:30 am). The topics vary daily depending upon Park Naturalist or Ranger. Thursdays are Arts and Crafts Day. Younger children (Ranger Buddies) are encouraged to participate along with their older siblings with parental supervision. Children from the local communities are invited to attend along with any of our park campers.
