WINTER BEACH CLEAN UP-January 13, 2024 9AM-12:00PM

  • Free the Sea of Debris Beach Cleanup on Saturday, January 13, at 9:00 am

Now that we’ve had an abundance of rain, let’s do some cleaning so it doesn’t wash out to sea! Thank you for bringing along either work or gardening gloves, a refill water dispenser, and dress for weather. We will provide reuse trash bags, drinking water, and light snacks. Complimentary parking passes are given at check-in and are valid until 12:30 pm upon completion of cleanup.

Meeting Location:  Picnic tables along boardwalk adjacent to lifeguard headquarters and San Juan creek river mouth.

LOVE YOUR BEACH CLEANUP

Let’s give some “love” back to the ocean for the “love” that it gives to us all year round! We will be cleaning the shoreline and watershed for this one!

FESTIVAL OF WHALES CLEAN UP

EARTH DAY BEACH & CREEK CLEAN UP

          Last weekend we decorated, now let’s do some beach and creek spring cleaning! 5TH OF JULY – INDEPENDENCE DAY AFTERMATH CLEANUP

  • “Fifth of July ~ Independence Day Aftermath Cleanup”

The day after Independence Day is considered the messiest day of the year for Doho!  The staff at Doheny is extremely grateful for any help with cleaning up the beach, lawns, and general park grounds. ANNUAL COASTAL CLEANUP DAY

  • “Annual Coastal Cleanup Day” on Saturday, September 21, at 9:00am

Be a part of a collective effort to rid the oceans, watersheds, and waterways of debris in this largest one-day volunteer project all over the world!  Doheny State Beach partners with the City of Dana Point to remove trash from San Juan creek, the shoreline, and jetty area before it washes out to sea.  We aim to lessen our carbon footprint so, thank you for bringing along work (or gardening gloves), a refill water dispenser, and dress for weather. We will provide reuse trash bags, drinking water, and light snacks. Complimentary parking passes are given at the check-in table and are valid until 12:30 upon completion of cleanup.
