Explore
life under the sea at the Doheny State Beach Visitor Center
without even having to get wet!
Our Visitor Center and Gift Shop are located
at the entrance to the park and admission is free. However,
there is a day-use fee should you desire to enter the park.
Once you walk through the door the story of
Doheny -- in and out of the water -- starts to unfold. Five
aquariums, each with a different habitat, display a variety
of interesting fish found in local waters. And if the tides
aren't cooperating then check out our awesome 500-gallon simulated
tide pool.
If birds are your interest, more than 25 mounted
specimens are on display, not to mention the nearby marshes
where live specimens fly in and out daily to the delight of
bird watchers. Books and field guides are available in the
Gift Shop.
Our collection of vintage surfing photos are
worthy of note, too!
